A virtual event platform to extend a live meeting and medical congress to an online audience

The Challenge

Our pharmaceutical client wanted to get more people involved with an annual brand strategy meeting but avoid the huge cost of getting people together in the same location. The meeting also coincided with an important congress.

The Solution

We created a dynamic digital platform hosting a 12-day interactive hub. We turned a virtual event into a fuller communications campaign by basing the audience experience on three engagement principles: Watch, Create, Participate.

To encourage engagement and interaction from the online audience, we scheduled blog posts and video content throughout the week prior to the live meeting. Encouraging participants to comment, discuss, and upload their own content to help them connect with the brand strategy and access best-practise on local implementation.

To extend the congress activity to the remote audience, we offered ‘the best of’ the event through on-site live broadcasts.
